![]() Over the last few days, something has changed on my limewire. When I try watching some movies, the media program opens then this dialog comes up saying (I copided and pasted it): "Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The Player might not support the file type or might not support the codec that was used to compress the file." I don't get it though. It only happens to some of my movies. And I did update my media prgram a few weeks ago. Did that possibly cause it? I have another idea might solve the idea, i dont know if it will work though (you tell me). How do you change the program you open the films with. Because I also have quicktime. Please answer. It would really make me happy! |

![]() WMP does not supply all the necessary codecs to play all files. You need to find & get them yourself. Or use alternative players. I'd recommend VLC as it has its own in-built codecs & is generally very reliable. See CODECs list and alternate players for Movies
