![]() I was stupid enough to dl a file infected with the virus that opens limewire up every time you close it and disables taskmanager. I'm in win2000 so the removal directions don't work, even the one that says it's for win2000. I don't have a windows folder, I have a WINNT folder. I don't have any files with "winupdates" in the name(hidden or otherwise) and when I got taskmanager opened by copying it to desktop the only process using a lot of CPU power is system idle, nothing else even had 1%. I still can't open taskmanager the normal way and I ended up deleting limewire, I dl'd kaspersky(had to turn avast off) and will run it while I'm away at work. Any ideas on how to get rid of this menace? EDIT: Ok, seems that taskmanager opens up normally now, but all I did was delete limewire and restart, is there any way (besides reinstalling limewire and using kaspersky) to make sure it's gone?
