Default Help Please!!!!!

I installed the newiest version of limewire for my windows XP Computer the installtion and everything went perfect no errors what so ever but when i try too run it
it doesnt do anything like it just sits there doesnt even load anything i got 160GB computer with 2GB ram i dont understand whats wrong cause i had it running before but now it wont start.

methinks you need to download and install Sun Java...

1. 1st make sure your firewall is properly configured to allow LW full access, & ensure UPnP is enabled for your modem/router; see Connection problems? Check here first! (click on link)

BTW if you run a spyware utility shuch as pestpatrol, then either get a better one or put LW on the exemption list.

2. Uninstall Java using your Add/Remove programs control panel. Then install Java 1.5 using the "Offline" installer version. Delete your LW preferences folder. See how to do these things here Fixes for Limewire - click on link (see steps 1-3)

3. If still not work, delete the LW prefs folder again, then downld the "Offline" LW installer from here & reinstall http://www.limewire.com/english/content/download.shtml
