Problem with LimeWire
 

Hi, i'm using LimeWire PRO 4.10.9
If i start up LimeWire the loading screen commes up, and if the loading is done, the normal screen commes up but shuts down immediatly! I'v tried uninstalling LimeWire and Java but it stays the same :(

My suggestions:

1. Open your Add/Remove control panel & remove ALL versions of Java listed.

2. Downld & then install the "Offline" version of Java 1.5; Java 1.5 (take the JRE)

3. Delete your LW preferences folder; instructions here: Point #2 & 3 in Fixes for Limewire (sample image included.)

4. Reinstall LW using the "Offline" LW version found here http://www.limewire.com/english/content/download.shtml (no need to uninstall LW as the installer will uninstall it at the beginning of installation!!!)

Sorry, i'v tried but it doesn't work! :(

I wouldn't have a clue. Did you try Java 1.4.2? Did you check the sticky on graphic card issues? Do you have a spyware program that might think LW is harmful so has removed some of its components? Brainstorm I guess. Good luck! :)

How about your firewalls? Did you configure you system firewall to allow LW full access? Did you enable UPnP on your modem/router?

Using your browser go here: http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ The page should say 'Your test worked!'. What happens when you go there? If you can't reach it then that's a double-whammy.
