Help with install

Cripes, what a pain. I have looked all through this forum and see that others have had trouble, but no reply to this prob. I installed limewire (the latest) and the Java accompaniement. Limewire did not install an icon and when I click on the Limewire file, I get a dll error (Limewire could not install blablabla dll.) I am also unable to uninstall Limewire now. Can someone PLEASE tell me how to uninstall (I don't have any uninstall software) and/or how to fix whatever the prob is. Thanks in advance.

I have attatched a batch file for Windows 9x, and I'm pretty sure it'll work for ME too. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK! Unizip it and put it on your desktop, or wherever you want. Double click and see if LimeWire launches. Remember, this is for LimeWire 1.d. If you changed your installation directory, you will have to manually edit the batch file. We won't get into that unless you find this doesn't work.

If this doesn't work, you should be able to go to Start>Settings>Control Panel, Open "Add/Remove Programs" and find LimeWire in the list. Uninstall it by double clicking it in the list and clicking ok, bla blah where appropriate.

Limewire is not listed in add/remove!? I have no idea why not. I have installed Limewire but have not been able to get it to work. How can I get it off my HD?

Is there a way to fix the kernel for LW??? The zip file did not work. When I try and launch LW using the shortcut it still comes back and says "cannot locate javaw.exe"
