![]() I plan on letting windows live beta perform a clean up of my regester, since it found 1900 odd errors (no doubt from my escape from aol dial-up). Is there anything I should look for concerning LW? This is a first for me and any advice or references will be appreciated. Great work by all you senior members, your (almost) unlimited patience with even the repetious questions is truly amazing. I search as well as I could before this post and I found much that was both useful and informative. On a side note (re: bits/bytes...amonth later my foreheads still sore) my ISP's pitch is 784kps...kilometers per sec? Wouldn't that cause some headaches? |

![]() KB/s = kbps/8 (ie: in most cases isp's & speed tests specify speeds in bits/s whereas LW refers to them as bytes per second. For cleaning the registry, normally I would have recommend the freeware Crap Cleaner but I've heard it also wants to install a toolbar which is a part of the company's financial arrangement with a 3rd party. So beware of the toolbar. |
