limewire stucks the computer helppp

plz help me

when i load limewire it stucks my computer like hell

sometimes after 10 minutes wait it calms down and start to stuck it every one minute

i dont know whats the problems so that makes me ignore limewire because its the only program that get stuck and my computer is perfectly working

may be the problem is with java but i downloaded updated and i redownloaded limewire

nothing helped

i have 2400 mhz
256 ram notebook

windows xp service pack 2

limewire 4.11.0

currently 21 proccesses r running which is nothing

no firewall

and i have java that i downloaded from the site yesterday

i think update 6

currently 28 gb are free

i downloaded the alpha version

the problem is still there
