can't view some files

I'm new to the forum thing, so bear with me.
Today I got on LimeWire and I couldn't open my videos or pictures.
The icons for the different filetypes are white boxes instead of mp3 symbols, images, videos, etc. I have to go to my shared folder through my computer and open them. Then it asks me what program to open them with. What happened? What should I do?

Not sure why that sometimes happens. I know the LW Beta fixed something in regards to that. To get the defaults back,
see 1. Setting Default video app, & also 2. Setting default audio program

I figured out what happened. I downloaded a new program that plays audio and video, so I had to go to the Shared folder and specify what program to use to open each type of file.

Thanks for the help though, I realized what happened like 15 minutes after i posted, thanks again.
