everything deleted

i click on the limewire icon on my desktop, and everything seems fine UNTIL! it comes up with a download screen. so i do what it says and it finally launches......with all of my songs and settings dissappeared. can someone tell me how to fix this? thanx in advance!

What "download screen" do you mean ???

After clicking on the LW icon on your desktop, there should come up a splash screen starting to load LW. And after that, the LW window should appear and in that window (you actually can read about it at the bottom of the window) LW will load your incomplete files. It will also load your shared files (which you should also see at the bottom of the window a little to the left).

I rechon you search for your files using Desoktop>Start>Search to make sure that your files are still on your computer.
And if the procedure with opening LW doesn'e happen as described above, post back and let us know where you got your LW .exe from and explain also more in detail about the "download screen".

when i said download i meant the install screen. like where you select your language, what file to put LW in, etc.....
and i searched for a file and nothing turned up

There is a chance this might have happened: Downlds refuse to reload (click on link)

Else, you have accidentally deleted your files. Accidental erasure of files from Library

It might be worth deleting your LW Preferences folder whilst LW is closed; instructions here: Point #2 & 3 in Fixes for Limewire (sample image included at bottom of page.) Your LW prefs might be corrupted.
