Default Poor quality movies

Hi there, I downloaded some movies on limewire and when I played them back on my computer the quality was really poor. Are there some settings I should change? I don't want to burn them if they look horrible. Can anyone suggest some things?

The best thing to do is look up a file before download with Bitzi. If the file's been rated, then you'll get an idea of content & quality.
How to use Bitzi

Also, preview the movie after about 10% download. Then, if it's crappy quality, you can kill the download!

I don't know of any ways to improve the picture quality of a downloaded movie... somebody else might?
