Default LimeWire corrupts files

Right, I would like to know if anyone else has had this trouble and if there is/will be a way to fix it.

Every time I've tried to edit the details of, lets say, a song, ie. the artist, track number, year, etc. via LimeWire, it corrupts the file, leaving only the "Track Number"; "Title"; and "Comments" in the properties. These files are also not able to be burnt to an audio disk.

This has happened on all versions of LimeWire I have used, even the newest one (4.12.3). So, if there is currently no way to fix it, I would like to be able to report it to the LimeWire staff. How would I go about that?
