Hello, I had this problem with LimeWire that after I open it it freezed my computer after some minutes and I had to reboot it. I tried everything installing different version of Java, having more memory, disactivating Windows Firewall but it did not worked. I changed to Frostwire and it did not work either.
Finally I did this, I don't know so much about pc but I have an Intel 85865 card and in the system tray appears an Icon to controll the Screen Configuration. I had 70k 1024x768 configuration and I changed it to 72k 1024x768. Problem solved, no more problem with Limewire can run any application and works prefectly and it is LimeWire Pro not FrostWire, it is the 4.12 version.
Hope it helps to someone because probably won't work for some people.
