![]() i have a problem with my computer freezing up when i start to download on LW. i have gone throught the sticky and done what it said. deleted the preferences folder tried changing java version 1.4 and 1.5. the thing is limewire used to run great for me back when i was using an older version. i have an older computer and i realize i need to update it as far as memory goes. but it used to run so well on my existing system. can anybody please help?? windows xp home sp 2 pentium 3 996mz 128 mb ram |

![]() can you not revert back to an older version of LW? I'm not an expert at all at issues surrounding RAM, but I have had problems in the past on my older computer when I upgraded applications that needed more RAM to run. It could be a JAVA and LW joint problem? Perhaps your computer can't cope with the demands of both upgraded versions? |
