Limewire Issue Please Help

When I am on Limewire and I select get new skins, instead of being connected to internet explorer, I end up with a Windows Media Player screen which says cannot play file? This happens whenever Limewire has an update too. I have to go to the Limewire site manually to get any updates. Why doesn't my PC take me straight to the Limewire site? Any help would be gratefully received. Thanks.

Did it ever take you to the skin page or has it always opened WMP? The link below is to the skin page it has instructions on how to install new skins.

Limewire issue please help

Thanks Grandpa.

I really wanted to know how to change the settings on my PC so that it would stop opening WMP when it's supposed to go to the Limewire site. I appreciate that I can go directly to the skin and updates page but how do I get the PC to do it on its own. My sons PC takes him straight to Limewire when he clicks on update (when there is one) or new skins. Why doesnt mine. I have always been taken to WMP. Thanks for your response though. Appreciated.

I have not come across this problem before so I do not know what seating could have been changed to have WMP trying to open web Pages. Perhaps some of the other senior members might know the answer.

I have never heard of this before and am not sure if this will work

Try going to the limewire site and save the webpage to your desktop

Then right-click on it and choose open with

press the bottom one "Choose program" I think it's called in english

then choose internet explorer and check the box that says "always use on...."

Then press OK

Hope this helps :)

Please let us know if it did

Thanks so much Sleepless! It worked perfectly. I did as you suggested, checked that it worked and then deleted the site which I had saved to my desktop and it still works fine. Many thanks for your help! Willow2
