![]() I haven't had any trouble with Limewire pro before. But recently, I not only installed a new piece of file-sharing software called U-torrent, but i also downloaded a later version of Limewire pro (Limewire pro 4.12.3 and then 4.12.4). However, ever since I updated and installed, I have been having a problem with Limewire. Every time I start Limewire up, everything is ok for a while. However, later on into the downloads, an error message pops up, saying "Limewire has experienced an internal error. Do you want to send a report to Limewire.com to help with the error?" (That is not it exactly, but pretty close). I close out and restart it, but it keeps happening over and over and over again. It only started happening after I installed U-torrent and ugraded Limewire. (Utorrent and Limewire worked well together before) Is Utorrent or upgraded Limewire the problem? I am not having the same problem with Limewire basic 4.12.4 Last edited by Dog_demons; August 1st, 2006 at 10:04 PM. |

![]() Makes me wonder from where you downloaded the PRO version, since you say you switched to the new basic version. If I remember correctly, LW 4.12.3 was released some time around June 2006 (4.12.3 (06.20.2006)), which means that you should still have been in the 6 month update time limit. If you didn't get it from the official LW website [http://www.limewire.com/], then you might have gotten some worm/trojan or virus with a warez version of LW. Just a thought though. Another possibility would be that using the online update installer might have installed it incorrectly. You could try to download the offline installer of your PRO version (assuming that you bought it from the LW website) using your personal download page you should have gotten by email when purchasing the PRO. In any case, do not use the Add/Remove Programs function of the Control Panel. Always use Start>Programs>Limewire>Uninstall to remove it. ![]()

![]() Well, it is possible that you need to use the CCleaner after you uninstalled LW&Java before reinstalling it: http://www.ccleaner.com/ Also, try downloading the "Other" version from the LW site. Just unzip & use. No installation necessary. It's the last on the download platform list. The one under "Others" with Solaris, Linux mentioned: http://www.limewire.com/english/cont...oadfree2.shtml But make sure to install Java and reboot before installing LW. ![]()
