Help!!!!! Limewire window pops up for about 5 seconds but nothing!?

I have been using limewire for some time now but recently it has stopped working. I have tried all of the fixes that have been posted in this forum. What happens is when I click on the Limewire icon the Limewire window pops up for about 5 seconds but nothing happens on the lower status bar that is usually busy with loading the p2p interface and stuff. It is just a blank white bar. After the window goes away nothing happens. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling limewire 3 or 4 times now and I've installed different versions of Java multiple time but nothing seems to help. I've also deleted the .limewire preferences folder. Does anyone know whats wrong?

A: Download & install & run Crap Cleaner & clean up your system 1st!

B:
1. (a) Use your add/remove programs control panel & remove "all" your java versions. (b) Then install the Java 1.6 Beta http://java.sun.com/javase/6/download.jsp JRE "Offline" version which is a 15.72 MB download.

2. Delete your LW Preferences folder whilst LW is closed; instructions here: Point #2 & 3 in Fixes for Limewire (sample image included at bottom of page.)
