Default Limewire Crash!!

Just recently i went to open up Limewire and recieved the "Limewire.exe has encounted a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." error message, the one you normally see on Windows XP when a program crashes ect.

I have done all of the following and none have worked.
-Reinstalled limewire
-Installed to new location
-Updated Java runtimes
-Uninstalled all java, rebooted and install java (using offline installer)
-Removed limewire folder from application data

They all return the same error message and its starting to drive me crazy.

Upon 'debugging' it, it displays a yellow arrow next to
"00402347 mov edx,dword ptr [edx+ecx*4]"
I dont know what this means.

This has happened once in the past and i tried several thigns (the things i listed above, that dont work) and it just suddenly worked again. Any ideas why this happens just randomly? I dont think i (un)installed anything inbetween uses to cause a problem such as this. Could it be some kind of access violation and if so where, what, how? How can i fix this?

Please give me a hand

Is this the newest Limewire beta that you are trying to run ?

If so you seem to have some insight allready on the troubleshooting you could try posting in the Beta forum

Maybe even make your post more detailed as the programmers may have a look there sometimes

I don't think that many on this forum can help with debugcodes and such

Im using version 4.12.6. Before this i was using another version that i cannot recall. I updated because i thought that might have caused the problem somehow.

It suddenly happened, inbetween uses of Limewire so i am not exactly how to go about that.

I have just registered over at the limewire beta forums, i hope they have some solution.

As mentioned before i do believe it to be some kind of access violation though of what, im not sure.

Thanks

You could try and change the compatibility mode,...
LW icon on the desktop, right-click, choose Properties>Compatibility and change it to Windows NT or Windows 2000.
Another option would be to use the offline installer of "Other" OS (scoll down at the LW download page and choose "Others")
