please help; trouble with my display when using limewire

When starting limewire, as soon as the window is displayed it becomes magnifed so that all the icons are huge and the colours become distorted. This also affects the subsequent windows that i open. The display returns to normal the moment i exit Limewire but meanwhile prevents me from using the program. Does anyone have any thoughts on what the problem is?

At a guess it's a graphic card issue. See The way to fix the Blank screen on startup

Kinglis

Adjust your graphic card settings to 1024 x 768, that will give you back your normal screen. However, if you find the text too small, and some people do, use 800 x 600.

1. Try your graphic settings anyway.

2. Try changing skins. ie: go to LW's menu bar, View>Change skins.

3. You could try deleting your LW Preferences folder whilst LW is closed; instructions here: Point #2 & 3 in Fixes for Limewire (sample image included at bottom of page.) & also try step 5.

LotR,

Will your suggestions correct this type of issue:
When LW starts, all I see is a narrow, oval shaped version of the screen and the rest of the screen is black. I tried to uninstall/reinstall LW, I tried to upgrade to the new LW 4.12.6, I even tried to uninstall/reinstall my java script. Will your suggestions help and if not, do you have any idea what I can do?
