ultrapeers are people on braodband handling searches and connections of leafs, when you do a search it checks to see if ultrapeer is connected to any leaf connections that have file you where looking for, and if you are wondering about your own searches it helps you and others, its good to be ultrapeer because that means your computers good for running limewire and wont become one if have firewall blocking lw without port forwarding

leave limewire up while your at work, school etc for over 20 minutes and will normaly turn into an ultrapeer when one is needed by the network, same reason get more searches by leaving limewire up for ten minutes before searching

Ummm... and what has that got to do with the difference between a leaf & an ultrapeer? Pease don't tack a question onto the end of a totally unrelated thread, it's a big pain.

Use the forum search to look for port forwarding. You'll find hundreds of threads.
This site is a good place to start. It will explain port forwarding & has a huge list of routers/modems with detailed instructions.
