Corrupted Installation When ever i open up LimeWire, a box pops up and says one or more of the neccassary files are missing. This is usually caused by a corrupted installation. IT also says if the problem persists, uninstall and reinstall LW. Well LimeWire worked wonders for me for over 6 months, and now this happened. I had all the files before. WHen i tried to uninstall LW, it says the file, uninstall.exe, cant be found. I tried looking for it myself but it aint there... What should i do? |
Remove your current version of Java & reinstall the JRE using the offline installer here http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/index.jsp Now try reinstalling LW using it's offline installer, it should uninstall the old version before reinstalling the new one http://www.limewire.com/english/content/download.shtml If that doesn't work, you might have to delete all LW files manually & then reinstall the new LW version. See how that goes & let us know if you're still stuck:) |
Thanks for the help birdy. It works now. |
