ok Mariia,

I've found an intellegent answer. A guy had this same problem last june apparently. Must be something floating around the downloads on limewire. anyway. These instructions are quite complicated.(at least to me it seems) take them step by step and this should work

**Remember, read the first TWO pages of this thread before you start. There are a few tips on the second page you'll need if you use Windows XP.**

The recommended LW Basic download is an online installation. Whereas LW Pro is an "Offline" installation. So Pro doesn't need or use Stubs. So if you are "really" using Pro, you wouldn't be having that problem. It will say on the LW interface if it's Pro or not.

Limewire starts up all the time-lw-pro-name.gif
