Default Limewire using 100% of my 2GB processor

I have recently upgraded to Limewire Pro and everytime i try to use it it loads up fine then proceeds to take up 99-100% of my processors capability. I would understand if i was using an old computer with a pentium 1 or something equally as slow but as i am using a 2GB processor and have 1GB RAM i cant understand what is going on. I dont have much knowledge of computers but i am more than certain this isnt right, can anyone help sort this problem? Obviously i just dont bother using limewire just now.
