Limewire & computer runs slow when limewire is on

Its been happening today.... Everytime i start limewire... Everything freezes and when i type in something to search and hit the search it takes a while, Usually it never did this.. Its all happenin today.. Is there somethin up with limewire servers maybe?? or is it a problem on my end..

If so can someone help me fix this issue. Its really frustrating and annoying that it runs all slow and it never happened before.

Limewire doesn't have central servers. Each individual hosts computer (you and me), acts as a server. So the problem is most likely on your end.

Do you have a lot of files queued waiting to d/l? If so cut back on the amount. Is most of your bandwidth being used with uploads and/or downloads? You may need to adjust the amount you allow LW to use. In LW Go to Tools>Options and adjust it from there.

If your running other programs while your using LW they may be using up your system resources. Check with your task manager(Ctrl+Alt+Delete). You might have to close some programs.

Also if you running low on space it could cause problems. Try defragging you hdd. Sometimes shutting down your pc and rebooting will help.

I just offered this solution to someone else:
I've had various and assorted probs from time to time with LimeWire -- the bestest, fastest, easiest cure I've found is to just uninstall and then reinstall LimeWire (versus spending waaay too much time trying to cure whatever the hell is wrong). The Un- & Re- system works for me and is a LOT less aggravating!
