I used the add/remove programs to uninstall LW and now I keep getting a pop up saying:

One or More necessary files appear to be invalid. This is generally caused by a corrupted installation. Please try downloading and installing limewire again. If the problem persists, please cope and paste the message below and sent it to: bugs@limewire.com. THank you

I tried to download Limewire again. I have downloaded the latest version in hopes that it would fix this problem. Nope. It is still there. I am able to use the new limewire while this keeps popping up and driving me insane. I tried to copy and paste the message and sent it to bugs@limewire.com..and of course it won't send to such address.
I am feeling frustrated and want this removed. I am not sure where to begin.
Anyhelp anyone???

I have the same exact problem right down to every detail and it's pissing me off more and more everyday. I hope someone can tell us wtf is going on.

Add remove control panel does not completely remove LW. That is NOT the correct way to uninstall LW. The correct way is to go to the Start menu > Programs > LW > Uninstall.

Reinstall LW might hopefully solve it as LW will uninstall previous versions at the beginning of the installation process.

LW isn't in my start menu

Do a fresh install of limewire and see what that does.

Even if Limewire is not in your start menu, it will still be in your programs folder (including the uninstaller) C:\Programs\Limewire

I tried to upgrade from 4.9.30 to 4.12.6, but everytime I go through installation it says the file is corrupt in the middle of it or I complete installation and it gives me a list of files it cannot find.

I have tried everything suggested in this forum; deleted .limewire file, went to program files and deleted the Limewire file, nothing has worked.

Any suggestions?
