(LW = limewire, WMP = windows media player)



Hi all,

I think limewire is converting my songs to its own format because even though the ones i download are generally in mp3 format which should work in wmp, wmp says it is an invalid file. Is there any way to stop limewire from converting them, making sure i dont download files converted to the limewire format, convert them back to regular mp3 or wmv format or get a codec for wmp to play limewire music files?

Sometimes WMP wont play your MP3s, the reason I cant remember off hand, but I do know that itunes is alot better and if that doesn't play a file there's more than likely something wrong with it (imo)...
You could also need some codecs for your WMP, this thread has some good link for codecs and players...

PS...Limewire doesn't change the format of your files..
