I've uninstalled all previous versions of java and Limewire and have installed Java 1.6 (beta) and Limewire 4.13 (beta). It works in the same way. It ask me to append every single file even if I ask the program to remember my choice....

If it were doing that to me, then I'd dump the prefs folder. The prefs might be corrupt. Try deleting your LW Preferences folder whilst LW is closed; instructions here: Point #2 & 3 in Fixes for Limewire (sample image included at bottom of page.)

But make a note of important settings, because the next time you start LW you'll need to reset all your options again.

Whilst you can have it set to ask, I have it set to automatically Append.

Has anyone fixed this yet???!!!

This is such annoying problem of something that should be such an easy fix. Its not just XP, as it still does not work in Vista!

Lord of the Rings January 20th, 2007 04:39 AM

Still works fine for me in Mac OSX & Windows 2000

cs3007uk January 20th, 2007 04:42 AM

yeah it works but not fully, as surely you shouldn't have to keep pressing append everytime I want to rename a file, why can't it apply to all the files once you have told it?

Lord of the Rings January 20th, 2007 06:40 AM

But it does do that, at least for me, if you select 'Always Append (#)' then that's what it should do & always does for me.
