My Mouse Doesn't Work on Limewire okay.....I haven't the foggest idea what the problem is. I click on the icon to load Limewire and everything comes up fine. Even when I put the arrow over the buttons, they change color like i can use them. But when I try to click ANYTHING on the screen, there is no response. I hit ALT and move around on the top of the window or TAB over a little bit. I can type in the one box that is available to be....ALL TYPES FILE SEARCH. But I can't click on anything using the mouse like I normally would. Could someone out there please help me out. |
See if it helps to update your Java. Download the latest JRE & make sure to use the offline installer. See point 1 below Info about fake files Remove your old version of Java before installing the new one. Otherwise, you could try deleting LW's preferences folder when LW's closed. That's points 2 & 3 in the fixes thread. :) |
I tried upgrading the JRE, I tried deleting the LimeWire preference folders, I even tried uninstalling LimeWire and none of this works. It still doesn't allow me to use the mouse to navigate my way through the program. What's next? |
Oops...really sorry about the crap link before:o I guess I gave someone else with a fake file problem instructions for Java:eek: When you reinstalled LW, did you use the offline insatller (not the recommended one)? The offline installer's the best one to use. Has LW worked without a problem before? Do any other programs give you the same trouble? I really don't know, updating Java has fixed this problem for other people. Maybe someone else here has more ideas?? |
Yeah.....I used the the offline installer. It has worked perfectly without a problem up until this point....about a week ago. It doesnt do this with any other programs that I have. I dont think I have any other programs that use Java. I'll try uninstalling everything at installing it all over again using the offline installer, but I am outta ideas. |
