Pasting magnet link? How the heck do you use a text magnet link with limewire? I cant find any option to paste it or receive it from the clipboard. |

Ok, thanks. That was an awkward way of doing it, besides that it doesn't work since I don't have magnet links associated with limewire... I've been using limewire for some time now, and although the basics are working well, quirks like this are tiresome. |
Then you must have another p2p program that is the default magnet handler. In the present LW betas, you can change the magnet handler settings. BTW FrostWire is my default magnet handler. lol :D |
Every time I turn on the internet, immediaely I get a box asking "limewire is not your default magnet handler, would you like it to be"...then yes or no. And whether I click yes or no, limewire boots up. Where is the clipboard? and if I then choose yes or no there, will this stop from happenning? |
The next official release of LW will only ask you once when starting up whether you want LW to be the magnet handler. This is already avaliable in the LW 4.13 beta. At present (LW 4.12 & earlier), if LW detects it is not the magnet handler it will ask you about it each time it starts. The way to find out what is your magnet handler is to download a magnet link. Unless you have 2 LW versions installed. As OAH suggests clipboard is simply a portion of memory put aside for when copying things such as text or images. On my mac, i have a program called Butler which allows me to see the clipboard & also gives me the option of having more than one clipboard & saving the clipboard between reboots. I just checked & it has 9 pasteboard recordings at present despite I haven't used the clipboard since booting up less than an hr ago. |
No. Not if you're not using LW beta. It mucks me because FW is now a version or 2 too early. So if a magnet link opens it, it stuffs up my download prefs. I guess I should use a separate downld folder for FrostWire. |
