Bug report: Outlook 2003 problems with Limewire version 4.12.6
 

First, I am a PRO user, but your system doesn't find my email address, so I'm left submitting this support information via your forum. In January of 2005, I purchased the software and I can provide the email address via email.

Essentially, due to the security vulnerabilities in Limewire that were publicized, I decided to upgrade to the newest version of your basic software (I'm not paying again).

After the upgrade, I started having problems with Microsoft Outlook 2003 involving send/receive. If I exit Limewire, those problems go away, and I only have those problems with Limewire is running.

Please notify me when you have fixed this bug so that I can download a new version. As it is, these two software pieces are ones I have loading at startup, and I use frequently concurrently. If I can't use Limewire any longer because of this bug, I"ll be forced not to use Limewire anymore...

Please fix this bug.

Try updating your Java & getting rid of all previous old versions of java. And btw, pro support is for 6 months, so I think August 2005 has well passed. Your name would have automatically been taken off their support computer.

Now explorer.exe crashes
 

Per your instructions, I uninstalled Java, and reinstalled Java. Now explorer.exe is crashing and the send/receive problems still persist.

It was just a thought. There's also Java 1.6 beta but LW won't use it if there's other versions of Java on your computer.

If LW is causing that much stress & conflict, the how about reducing it. Tip: Purge the Downloads Queue! & reducing shares. Also disable iTunes sharing support in LW options.
