Single User support?

I am new to limewire, and i run xp home sp2.
i was wondering if there was a way for me to make the program run on my username, and no-one elses?
i dont really want the other computer users to have access to it, and i cant just go into their account because they are also admin.

Just brainstorming here, but you could probably move Move the Limewire folder from the programs folder into a folder that you made for it, and then password protect it using some kind of program of the internet.

Then remove all shortcuts to it (even from your account)

Since they have admin accounts that's probably the only way.

Only problem is that there is really nothing preventing them from just redownloading and intalling it them selves. Except maybe if you also get a good firewall, passwordprotect it as well and block access to all sites where they might be able to download it.

But then they could just download some other P2P program.

So guess the answer is no

Also not a fail-safe method, but you can set up a folder with only you with permissions to access it & no other admins. You do that via control panel ... admin something ... can't remember but if you want instructions I'll check it up for you. I have discussed similar descriptions before on the forums.

I can't remember whether they'd be able to see such a folder. Possibly not if it's in your user account area. If they could, then make that folder "hidden" & use a shortcut to your account's start menu items.
