Question downloading

I've been downloading with Limewire many times, but recently I ran into a problem with downloading. I recently downloaded a newer version of internet explorer also but after I started my computer I would get dialoge box asking to install Limewire which is strange since it is already installed. It would ask such questions such as language and which file to download files to. This happened a few times. Just today I started downloading songs. Usually the songs would appear in my music, however it wasn't there. I found in another file, which I had to transfer to my music files. Why is this happening and how can I get my downloads to go into my music files? Is this because I have a newer version of explorer?

Another thing was now I say a message as I am about to download saying Limewire is not able to get a liscence. What is this about and can I still download songs from limewire?

I'm not sure why you are being prompted to 'reinstall' LW.

When you install LW, it selects a 'default' folder for your downloads (somewhere in program files...limewire...)

You can choose where your downloaded files go by doing this:

Click tools...options...saving

Browse for your music folder.

Also, when you first download with LW after installing, it will ask you whether you want to download files that do not come with license information.

If you are okay with downloading copywrited material without a license, do this:

Click tools...options...searching

Uncheck 'show license warning'

Good Luck!

Or how about just dumping IE?

Get Firefox (the far superior client) and install the IE plugin so that windows can update normally.

Default liscence

I'm nerveous about downloading w/o a license. Can you get in trouble that way. If so, then maybe I shouldn't use LW anylonger. That has never happened before, and I wonder why all of a sudden it's asking for one?
