![]() Yes there appears to be an answer to our problems. Go to the main/home forum page http://www.gnutellaforums.com/forumd...p?s=&forumid=7 and at the bottom you will find a search field. In it type just the numbers 1628, then click enter. You will get a few hits. One of the hits will say "Found a way to fix the installation error 1628" This is the direct link: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...highlight=1628 I used this approach and it worked for me!!! Then I went out on the web and got this link to a clean version of LimeWire. http://www.geocities.com/burk017/ I followed the instructions and I am now running LimeWire 2.0.4. My only hangup now is that this approach now forces me to launch LimeWire in a MS-DOS shell. But don't panic, it is totally automatic. Just double click the desk top icon for your new LimeWire 2.0.4.
