limewire went CRAZY
 

Hello I have a problem with lime wire when I open lime wire it's makes my screen go black then the screen will come on and it changes my graphics on my computer screen. When I try to change the graphics lime wire shuts down? This just started happing. I have lime wire pro also too when I open limewire I have to go through the setup like selecting your country like when you first down load lime wire pro? Is there a file in lime wire messed up? When I shut down lime wire down my screen will go black then back to normal graphics like it should be. Sounds crazy

Black screen

The computer screen doesn't stay black. The computer screen goes competey black then it comes back on and it's fuzzy gray kinda like little dots. I'am running windows XP. I just unintalled limewire and reinstalled it didn't fix it. I allso have java jre 6 is my java screwed up?

Try to fix your screen resolution that might work a little for you sometimes some programs dont work well on higher resolutions try to lower it a little.
And maby go to Advaned tool on the monitor see what refesh rate your monitor is at some of them only work with 60 hertz per rate.

I contacted support they told me to check my graphic card drivers and or reset to defluat setting. I contacted Gateway my computer brand and they had me install a graphic card driver and it still does it what is it I'am ready to pull my hair out!! Here's what it does what I open limewire my screen goes black the hole screen for a second or so then my screen appears but my graphics are all screwed up grayish,greenish, colors it should be. Limewire still runs and downloads but a can't play a file and it's all fuzzy like alot oflittle dots. Please help

Try right clicking on limewire and going to properties. Go to compatibility and make sure 256K is not checked or anything else in that category.....Now for my problem...I'm running Vista. I finally got limewire to work but when I open it, it looks like a really really old version of limewire. Font is very small and graphics are terrible. All my other graphics work fine just not limewire. Its terrible, I've tried contacted the Limewire "Tech Support" and needless to say after several attempts nobody has contacted me back...Anybody know what may be happening. I have limewire 4.12.11 and Java 1.6..... :confused:

Answered by PM & suggested changing skins, deleting preferences folder, changing screen resolution/DPI settings.
