How did you uninstall LW? Was it via add/remove programs? That can cause problems. The correct way to uninstall is to install a new version (without touching the original version), or start > all programs > LW & use the uninstall option there, or C:\Program Files\Limewire\uninstall
Open task manager (ctrl-alt-del), see if there's a LW process running. If there is, end the process.
If you uninstalled via add/remove pgms, use the computer's search to look for all LimeWire files & folders. Delete what you find. Now try to reinstall LW & make sure to use the offline installer (not the recommended one). |
