Win Xp Spontaniously reboots when using Limewire !!! When i use limewire a couple of minutes, my win xp machine suddenly reboots!!! does anyone have that problem too, and a possible solution? |
Power supply Sudden reboots sometimes happen when you have a bad, old or over-burdened power supply . This is the only reson I can think of causing random rebooting . If this is the case then it's not Windows XP it's fault . I have heard about Windows XP deleting your "My Documents" folder if you have multiple profiles though . And I mean there really gone ! Booted up from Win98 DOS disk and couldn't find them on the HD's anymore ! |
It will also reboot if a program causes the OS to crash. Its happend to me before. |
Hi, I have the same problem and it only started when I downloaded the latest version of Limewire! Frustrating to say the least. I will be uninstalling it along with removing any SPYware that is hanging around on the C: Drive.... It ONLY reboots when Limewire is running so I can only draw 1 conclusion..... Adios Amigos, Paul |
First Things... Right Click on my Computer, Choose Properties at the bottom, Click on Advanced; click on the last settings button under startup and recovery; Under system failure, make sure automatically reboot is not checked. . upgrade to limewire 2.2.2 Make sure you are at the latest version of Limewire. I have experienced several different issues with other versions. I have downloaded the newest (free) version with XP, IE 6.0, 600 MHz, 640 MB Ram, 50 GB hard drive and I encounter zero problems with Limewire 2.2.2. |
reboot problem Everytime I run new version of limewire my win2000 machine reboots spontaneously after a few minutes of use. It is beginning to annoy the heck out of me... anyone have any suggestions or found the same problem??? |
