Default I can't play most the files i download.

Hi,

I downloaded Limewire Basic yesterday (im thinking of going PRO soon), to download Creative Commons mp3 files.

So far about 1 in 2 files i download display this message when i try to play them in windows media player:

How can i sort this out so that i can play these files?

Try using the Free VLC player & make it your defult player, It has all the codec's
built in, Its recommended by us lot here.

Your link is either not working, or it's been censored. Can you tell us what message you're getting? Does it say something about not having the necessary codecs to play the file? If that's it, check below for links to codec packs. I've used the XP Codec Pack for WMP. Or you could try VLC player...it's free, with codecs installed. There's a link for download plus more info below

Blimey that was a quick reply lol, the message shows:
Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The Player might not
support the file type or might not support the codec that was
used to compress the file.
Also i have noticed RealPlayer can play the files, but since Windows Media Player is the player i always use that's not too useful.
