cant click on anything

When I bring up limewire, if I click on the minimize tab it works just fine, Then minute I click on the File tab to connect, or try to click on library or anyother tab it won't do anything. The File, Tools, and other tabs will highlight like it should but when I click on them nothing happens. I can use the shortcut, (alt F for opening the file tab.) and it will work, but you still cant click on any thing. I hae to use the task manager and end task just to close it. I have tried running a virus scan, reinstalling, restarting windows, and nothing has worked. any help would be appreciated. Thanks Mike

I have Lime wire pro 4.12.11 I have the latest edition of java as i checked that also. I am running windows, on a HP laptop.

I can play things already downloaded if I do it through my folder without opening lime wire but not if I open lime wire.

First of all, you should make sure that the Limewire player is not your default player. Tools...options...player...untick 'use LW player'. After you do that, files should open in your default program for each file type.

You say you have the most recent version of Java. Does that mean you have version 1.6.1? Some people are having trouble with that version. You could uninstall that via add/remove programs and reinstall this version:

Archive: Download Java 2 Platform Standard Edition (J2SE) 5.0 Update 11

Good Luck :Smilywais:
