Lost old downloads

Being a newbie to this, I hope I'm not about to ask a question where the answer is staring me in the face...
I had probs with my 'puter (Not Limewire related) and have logged back into Limewire to find my downloads have disappeared. I've found my 'incomplete' folder with them all in it, but how do I transfer that over to Limewire for the program to resume downloading them?

Go to your LW library. Your files should be in 'incomplete files'. Click on them and select 'resume'.

Thanks very much.

Thought I'd looked in there before and didn't see them, but then again, my 'puter has been playing up so much lately, anything's possible!!

Thanks again :)

Damsel67 Hi
If your having problems try this.
Check your system using any of these programs (I reckon using all of them):

Start with the AVG Free anti virus, its better than most paid for ones.
(Click on this blue link) Download & Update program before scanning
AVG Free Advisor: Installation files & documentation
You can Uninstall it after use if you wish.
When you suspect virus/trojan/worm activity, It is my recommendation that you reboot in Safe Mode
As some threats are embedded & will load at startup, making them hard to remove when running in default mode.

These Other programs are all recommended by us
http://www.ewido.com(>>now called AVG Anti Spy ware<< free 30 day trial -the best in my opinion)

Select Your Product - Home - Lavasoft)

http://www.ccleaner.com/download/(free)

Spybot - Search & Destroy (FREE)
Peace.

Cheers for that Mickjapa108,:p

I run AVG, Spybot and Adaware on a regular basis but am flamboozled at the sudden change that has occurred with my 'puter.

I've tried system restores (to no avail) and find they won't go back any further than this month. The dates I've chosen have had no effect.

To make matters worse, my pages are loading that slowly, I might as well go do my weekly grocery shopping while waiting :wasntme:...so much for high speed dsl!

I can't even get on to my Uni website and I have exams next week!!! :bangh:

Frustration reigns supreme!!!

Am going to try the AVG Anti Spyware and ccleaner now. Thanks for replying :D

Hi Damsel67.

Just one more little point, You say that System Restore will not roll back!
That usually happens when you are infected with a worm. (can be windows error also) but mostly its a worm/virus
So whenever you get rid of an infection, it just comes back through System Restore.
So if System Restore will not work on any backdate, I would turn it off, restart
computer then turn it back on.
Let us know how you get on.
your servant,
Peace.
