Default having trouble playing some files

hey all,
when i download a mov. type file I'm having trouble playing it.
I can play mpeg no worries windows media player plays them for me
when i try to play a mov. file i get the message 'movieplayer cannot play this file'
Is there anyway to change what player plays the mov. file in windows xp?

First of all, did you check the file with Bitzi before download? Heaps of .mov files are just spam & porn
How to use Bitzi

mov files

You could try VLC player, it's free & plays most things.
VLC media player - Overview

To change the default player: Go to LW's library, highlight the file & click Explore. Now your saved folder will open. Right click on the file > open with > choose program. Select the player you want from the list. Tick the box to 'always use the selected program to open files of this type' > ok.

i just opened one with quicktime, bloody hell
about 30 pages of crap opened up......
that must be spam eh
ill try the bitzi i think
