Thanks.

I have 98 and I cannot get limewire to work at all. every time it starts I have total system freeze with a new search. I cannot even use ctrl/alt/dlt either. I wish i would have stuck with the old limewire. I loved it

Default locks up

I am using Win Me and am getting the same lock-up problem. I used 2.2.1 for a while with no problems and then suddenly it started freezing a minute or so into the program. Uninstalled and installed 2.2.4 and still having the same problems. I wonder if there is any software conflicts going on. Since most of us are music oriented is there a particular application that we all have that is causing this? Will provide list of software installed after 2.2.1 was installed and working fine and before the freezes started upon request. me@johnpyle.com

Smile answer for lock up

If you could go back to 1.7 it wouldn't lock up. I have the latest version and I can't play games on line. I deleted JAVA2TM Runtime Environment and I played all I wanted. When I want to download music I download limewire again.
