Question JAVA2TM conflict

I have recently finished a complete install on my computer of WindowsXP and downloaded/installed Limewire v2.1.3 plus the required JAVA2TM. It nows causes a conflict with the program 'Microsoft VM build 3802 for WindowsXP' which is used by a financial program to provide live streaming of prices. This conflict causes the program to stop responding and IE6 to shutdown. I did not have this problem when using Limewire v. 1.7 and Windows98. Can anybody suggest a way to resolve this problem apart from uninstalling Limewire and JAVA2TM. I've thought about going back and installing Limewire v 1.7 but can no longer find it on the Limewire site. Thank you.

Default Ignore

I hit 'ignore' when it gave me the error...and it followed through with no other problems. Limewire works fine. However...DO NOT DO THIS if you have anythign important on your computer lol. Im not sure what ignoring the problem might do later. I would prefer to have this problem fixed rather than hope nothing bad happens.

Wouldn't just disabling Sun's Java in Internet Explorer solve the problem? Just go Tools->Internet Options->Advanced->Unckeck Use Java 2

Lightbulb java ... java ... java ...

Try downloading the latest Java client from sun microsystems 1.4 i think they're up to. get it here http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4/download.html

After you d/l it be sure to uninstall the 1.3 client and restart limewire ... it will say that it cant find its client ... direct it to the 1.4 client and you are set.
