![]() Hi All, I just installed LW 2.2.3 Pro on a Win2000 system. During configuration, it keeps telling me that the directory I choose to save downloads in is invalid. The only one that appears to work is the default. Any ideas? Thanks! |

![]() I'm having the same problem, but I've seen it in both 2.2.2 and 2.2.3. I had everything working just fine in 2.2.2. I had my share directory setup as the same directory as my save directory and it was working just great until one day I made the mistake of exiting Windows 2K with LimeWire running and minimized in the system tray (a seemingly normal operation). When came back the next time on reboot most (not all--odd) of my preferences were lost and I was unable to set my save directory to the same directory as my share directory without getting an 'invalid directory for saving files. Please use another directory or revert to the default.' In fact I get this message no matter which directory I try. I uninstalled 2.2.2 and reinstalled 2.2.3 and specified my save directory to be the same as my share directory during installation but it still defaulted to "C:\Program Files\LimeWire 2.2.3 Pro\Shared". I even went into the LimeWire.props file and edited the DIRECTORY_FOR_SAVING_FILES line and it ignores the line! Excellent. |

![]() So how exactly do we solve this problem. All the files I download can only be saved in the default directory and when i try to change this under the option/saving thing it wont let me choose - its also says invalid folder and forces me to use the default folder. I am using version 2.2.4 and wish i could revert back to 2.1.3 as this worked perfectly fine. |

![]() 2.2.4 Pro? Is that out? I wonder if I can actually resume a partial download now--that would be nice. I solved this problem by 1) uninstalling 2.2.4 2) deleting the pre-existing Incomplete directory (which contained a *ton* of partial downloads which I really wanted to keep around to complete but oh well) 3) and setting the share directory to an empty share directory that I created prior to re-installing 2.2.4. Once I did that I copied all of my old files that were in the original share directory I had setup to the new share directory and it worked like a charm. I'm now sharing the same directory I download to. |

![]() I'm having a similar problem with PRO 2.2.4 (also 2.2.3 and 2.2.2). When I'm trying to select a new download directory, and I attempt to navigate to a network drive, the drive letter does appear in the drop down box -- but when I select it, it instead jumps back to A:. This only happens on networked drives. I'm would like to share a library on two home computers but can't make it work for this reason. Environment: Windows 98 SE, JRE 1.3.1 |
