Default NEED a executable jar file!!!

When you go to My Computer > C: > LimeWire > lib folder you should see the "LimeWire" executable jar file. I need that jar file because mine is infected. My Trend Micro can't clean nor fix it and I tried reinstalling LimeWire, but nothing changes. Can someone please send me there file, but make sure it's clean. I also tried deleting it, but LimeWire wont open without it. The hsqldb jar file was also infected, but I found another one through google. It works fine and it's clean. I'm scared that it might get infected again in the long run. Or can I be wrong and if those jar files infected it doesn't really mean anything? I mean the files weren't infected before so I'm guessing something is wrong.

You can send it via email, that's if it could fit.

Email:*personal info removed for your own protection*

THANKS!!!

Somebody else who uses Trend Micro is also getting virus alerts: Getting spyware and virus warnings

I'm not sure if you're really infected, or whether maybe Trend Micro's giving you false positives. Which TM component is giving you alerts - antivirus or antispyware? Have you tried scanning with other AV/antispyware apps? Skyliner gives a list of other apps to run, in the thread above.

Anyhow, here's a link to a copy of my LimeWire jar file: LimeWire.jar

If you still get virus alerts after this, might be a Trend Micro issue?

This is what I'm getting and for some reason I ran the scan on yours after downloading it, I got the same thing. Is it just my computer or TM is acting up?

Their is like 10 different threats on one file. That's what it's saying when TM alert comes up.

That file is clean. At any rate, it was clean when I uploaded it
I scan every day with Avira AntiVir. I use Malwarebytes, Spybot S&D & AdAware.

Try some of the other apps that Skyliner suggests. There's also Kaspersky's online scan: http://www.kaspersky.com/virusscanner & ESET's online scanner: http://www.eset.com/onlinescan/

Since there are 2 of you now who've had the same prob & you both use Trend Micro, I'd be inclined to think it was a false positive from your scanner. But I can't find any info to say that there's a problem with false positives lately!
Have you noticed anything weird about your computer - running really slow, freezing, popups etc etc?

In the other thread, Skyliner also gives a link to a site where you can get free help with malware removal. If you're really concerned, go there & see what their verdict is.

No problems with the PC what so ever. I'll give the free scans a try. Thanks again Birdy!!!

EDIT: Ok I used the Kaspersky's online scan on lib folder where the LimeWire jar file is located. It didn't find anything so I'm guessing it's TM. right?
