![]() Hi, I've just recently downloaded and installed Limewire 5 basic. I've recently been downloading a video and I am unable to preview the video. For example; when I try to preview the video through limewire (Ie right click video file "Preview File") nothing happens. Computer lags a bit and then nothing. Even after i've downloaded the entire file I cannot view it through Limewire, I physically have to open the containing folder and play it. With the pre Limewire 5 I was able to just double click on the video downloading, it would open the appropriate media player and I would be able to preview the video and discern quality, type and if it was worth it. If I could get this cleared it would be much appreciated. . I am currently running Windows XP |

![]() That's odd. Which video player do you use? I just checked playing files from both Library & p2p windows, shared & non-shared using VLC - (click on link) & all launched & played happily. We generally recommend VLC here as a great alternative player. Either as a backup player or setting as default video player. It has all its codecs built-in & plays all video types you will find on the network. ![]() ![]() |

![]() Well depending on the type of video. *.mpeg amoung others was WMP *.flv was FLV player I'm downloading VLC player right now and i'll see if that corrects the problem. This also seems to be occuring with my completed downloads. |
