I just got a new laptop and i transfered all of my music to the My Music folder from my old computer. Later on i downloaded limewire, but i couldnt find my Shared folder anywhere. Everytime i tried to change my destination folder to My Music instead of Shared, the program would freeze. I got on the laptop the next day and an error message came up saying "your save folder is not valid. It may have been deleted, not valid, or another problem. Please choose another folder." After this message pops up, limewire wont load, it just sits there forever trying to load messages. I'd removed the program numerous times and even removed my music and yet i am still getting the message and limewire wont load. Any help is appricated.

Try deleting your LW Preferences folder whilst LW is closed; instructions here: Point #2 & 3 in Fixes for Limewire (sample image included at bottom of page.)

Then during the set up after opening LW, reset the downld location where you'd prefer. Make sure you have permissions to access that folder.
