No. It depends what your looking for. Mp3's are audio files, Mpeg, avi are video files. There are a lot of different types of files. Ones to watch out for are program files, zip, exe, ect. They are known to contain viruses. This thread should be required reading: WARNING: Viruses on network you should be aware of!. Make sure your anti-virus is up to date and scan all files before you open them.

This link has info on different file extensions, you can google for more information:http://www.computeruser.com/resource...filetypes.html

Nice signature by the way...

Anyways for mac's get the crappier files like .wav and .ogg

For D0xt0r Computers/Operating Systems .mp4 and .d0x will work

for windows anything but .d0x because .d0x is coded for d0xt0r operating systems only otherwise it won't work on windows!

I think you should learn about using a mac before you quote files on their system. WAV is a windows uncompressed format. The mac equivalent is AIFF. WAV & AIFF are equivalent to CD quality as they are an exact extraction with no loss of quality. Whereas the lossy formats which throw away information are those such as mp3's, Ogg Vorbis, wma, m4a. m4a is a newer format than mp3.
