You can burn audio CDs with Nero:)
DancingDiva777, you should have read all of this thread:D You need to add songs from your saved folder. Check out this guide.

hi i downloaded the vlc media player like you said so i can watch movies as i download movies and i can't work out how to play them. it doesn't work while downloading or after downloaded. but it still doesn't work with the vlc thing.

Sorry Thorn but I don't use VLC. I don't think you should try to watch while downloading though. Wait until it is complete and then try to Launch. If you have VLC set up to play this type of file it should pop up when launched. Hope this helps.

how do I get my downloads off of limewire and onto my shared documents?

Remoc October 16th, 2007 08:01 PM

While in Limewire, Click on library tab. Now click on Explore; bottom left corner. This will take you to your saved/shared folder which is where your files are on the HDD.
You say "off of Limewire"?? You do not want to delete any file from Limewire unless you don't want it anymore. Deleteing files in Limewire will delete file from HDD.

For fast & easy access to your downloads once they have 100% finished downloading, go to your LW Library window, select Saved Files folder & press the Explore button. Sample image here: Using Library Explore button to access downld folder (click on link) & the folder will open up for you. For videos, all you should need to do is double-click them.

To preview incomplete files, they will only preview as much or less than you have downloaded. So if you have downloaded 10% of a 120 minute video, then you will only be able to view 8-12 mins worth. Files that download don't necessarily download from the beginning of the video to the end, but may download part of the beginning, part in middle part near the end, etc. *** -> I would recommend instead of using the Preview button (which creates preview files in your incomplete folder & wastes space on your drive), that instead, you go to your Library window, select Incomplete folder, list the files in alphabetical order by name (press name tab at top of column) & find the video you are wanting to preview. Once found, select it & press the Launch button. This will save you from cleaning out junk preview files from your incomplete folder at a later time. ;) (Preview files are named like this: eg: PREVIEW-0170000-title.mpg)

To set VLC as your default video player, see this link for instructions Setting Default video app

I use Limewire too. I open all of my songs with Winamp (you could use any mp3 player) and then I burn them onto a rewritable CD (CD-RW), then I import the songs to iTunes. Not only are the songs in iTunes, but I also have iTunes set to import songs at 128 kbps. That's CD quality, anything more just wastes space on your hard drive. Then I put them on my iPod. If you used a rewritable CD, you can just erase it when you are done. It can be a pain to do this, but a lot of songs on Limewire are more than 128 kbps
