I just tried to start LimewirePro and firtst off noticed that the usual icon had changed to a generic windows icon and when I clicked on it got a window saying that limewire.exe could not be found and when I did a manual search couldn't find it anywhere.....What has Happened!!???

I just used it two weeks ago and everything was fine.

Is there a time limit on its use...Do I have to shell out more money to get it back?

I'd suggest reinstalling it.

So what caused it? If you have a spyware or adware utility then that might have scanned LW & done damage. There's some spyware programs that see p2p programs such as LW as having spyware whereas it doesn't. If that's the case, then put LW on that spyware's safe list. An example of such a spyware program that does damage is Pest Patrol.

Can't remember the install program name...do you know what it is?

BTW if LW doesn't start after reinstalling, try deleting your LW Preferences folder whilst LW is closed; instructions here: Point #2 & 3 in Fixes for Limewire (sample image included at bottom of page.)
