Need help with limewire and ipod mini

I am having a problem transferring songs I have downloaded from limewire to my ipod mini. These songs are listed in my library but when I try to transfer them to my ipod mini, I either get a message that says "can't read disk" or "ipod has been updated" (but when I check it there are still the same number of songs as before. I have downloaded the newest version of limewire, newest ipod updater/itunes programs but this has not helped.

I have downloaded songs before onto my ipod mini in the past with no problem

A couple of people have had trouble after updating to the latest iTunes, but that's just been a prob where the "LimeWire Tunes" playlist doesn't show up. You had this prob before updating iTunes I guess?
It sounds to me like it might be a problem with your iPod rather than with LW. Have you been to the iPod help site? Try the general fixes (in blue) & if they don't help there's a pretty good search function. They also have a forum I think.

(If you ever have troubles with the iTunes side of LW, like playlists not showing up, deleting the LW preferences can help. Points 2 & 3 here
Fixes for LimeWire)

It's been a week now since all of this started but the first thing I did was update my limewire to the 4.12.3 then when that didn't work, I updated the ipod updater. Then I got a message a couple of days later about a newer version of itunes so I updated that. I see the forum you adviced me to check but will it help since they don't want to assist with music sharing problems?

Did you try the general iPod fixes?
You don't have to tell anyone where you got your music from (for all anyone knows you could have ripped one of your CDs to your library)!! All you need to say is that you're getting errors when trying to add files to your iPod. Did you use the search on the Apple site? Their forum probably has a search function too... use that before you ask a question;)

It just sounds to me like an iPod issue rather that LW but someone else here might have more/different ideas. You could always have a look at iTunes support site too... just in case someone else has had the same problems or maybe the prob's related to iTunes somehow:)

You're right, I'll try the iTunes support site like you have suggested. I'm just fustrated right now. But thanks for your advice.

There's also this forum: iPod Forum. It has different sections for windows & mac & also for iTunes, etc. BTW try manually updating your iPod. http://www.apple.com/support/ipod/tu...tarted_t3.html
