Default New and needing help with setup

ok I am new to this and not that good with computers so I will try to explain the best I can. I downloaded LimeWire last night, started the set up process got to the Firewall part, click allow on my pop-up, and then it did nothing, I have tried to uninstall and re-install but every time it goes to the firewall section of the set up process and does nothing, now I don't even get pop-ups asking me to allow it. (I think I might of permanently allowed it) I have Windows XP SP2 and Norton anti- virus I have tried disabling norton and all firewalls and still nothing will get it past that point. I would like to try it, but just can't seem to get anywhere, PLEASE HELP! and detailed instructions would be apprediated lol

1. Disable your XP firewall.

2. Set up your Norton Firewall as like here: Configuring Norton Internet Security.

3. If you have a high speed modem/router, then check both the UPnP & Port Forward sections here: Connection problems? Check here first! (click on link)

4. Try deleting your LW Preferences folder whilst LW is closed; instructions here: Point #2 & 3 in Fixes for Limewire (sample image included at bottom of page.)

5. You might also want to consider getting a patch for SP2: MS & 3rd party patches

I have tried all the above to no avail. My XP firewall is disabled and Norton I have disabled and made sure that it was set to allow all Lime wire, I do have a Linksys router but wasn't able to do that because Lime wire isn't completely loaded so I can't get into to check what file I need.

It's telling you how to set up your connection device. See the link carefully. Take you time!

well, I looked at it carefully, but I still have no clue what it is saying or where it is telling me to go. I can't find my router on my computer at all,

The only reason I have a router is because I have my phone service through my cable internet from Vonage. I guess I will have to search for a different music source.

Did you use your browser to try to log into your router? Check the default ip address for Linksys & type it into your browser.
ie: you can log in by typing 192.168.1.1 into the address bar of your router.

ok I am starting to get there very very slowly

I figured out that my IP is 192.168.15.1 no other one on it, when I type that into my internet browser I get all kinds of different stuff, and I'm not sure exactly what it is that I am looking for.

Ok I edited this, I finally figured it out, I was typing it in search and not the browser, it's still early in the morning for me LOL, but I enabled the UpNp setting and saved it, tried lime wire again, and still get stuck on the same thing, I get to the Setup FireWall page in set up and it does nothing, it doesn't give me options to continue or go back or finish or anything, the only thing that is in the box is the information about enabling firewalls for LW the three pictures as examples and that is the end of the box, no other buttons to move on or go back or anything.
